SBC Footprint

SBC is primarily owned by Select Africa Finance Limited, a Mauritius incorporated company ultimately owned by African Alliance, a private investment banking group with a presence across Africa. Select has operated for over 25 years, serving a predominantly civil servant client base, which is the largest employee group in Eswatini. In 2013, Select re-established its presence in Lesotho through Lesana Lesotho, which was subsequently acquired by SBC in 2023. 

In 2015 SBC Limited (“SBC”) acquired Pine Acres (Pty) Limited (“Pine Acres”), a property development company with a 42-hectare piece of land in Malkerns, Eswatini. Pine Acres has developed this land into Malkerns Square, an iconic, environmentally responsible, and resource-efficient lifestyle property development, with 155 residential housing units and a retail shopping centre of 3 143m2.
